Gave them a chance and don't regret it.

I had Anet A8 printer for years but it was painfull. Problems, problems, problems all the time. Once you solve it new problem occurs. So I have decided it is time for some new tech. I was deciding between Neptune4 Pro and Kobra 2. Found the first one superior but waiting times for delivery was 3 months! Looking for alternative I came across Sovol which was totally unknown to me as a brand. New tech printer in plus size just for 300$ (early bird +coupon) and delivery and premiere date? I will give it a try. And I have to say it was a very good decision. Problems were minor like wrong prints on screws stickers and I dont like how the cable powering up extruder goes (fixed it up with one print visible in photos). Prints are extremaly fast and the surface i spotless. I print mostly in 0.15mm and sometimes even in 0.06mm per layer. No adhesion problems, details stick very good with skirt and in case of any problems raft does the job. Connected the cammera and wifi and control everything from PC visiting the printer just to clean up the bed after print. For the current price this printer is a bargain. Highly recommended! Never had so many not failed prints in a row^^

Time to unbox and get this thing running!! Super stoked!

Update: 20m benchy in progress!
Update 2: benchy took 24 minutes
Final update on this post with my initial thoughts: The printer is fast. Well at least to me it is fast, my only comparison is a stock SV06. This is WAY faster. The setup was easy. I did have a couple issues during assembly that I was able to remedy pretty easily. The steps on the packages of screws don't correspond with anything, so go by what is in the package, not the step on the package. After assembly, the bed leveling was straightforward, setting the z-offset was pretty easy, and then I got to printing. All in all, I had it setup and printing within an hour and a half of having it. Then I knocked out a 24 minute benchy that looks as good or better than what I get on my SV06. Currently I am printing an articulated model as a test to see how it does. I can say, it's going at about 250mm/s and it's doing a great job. I'm using filament that my SV06 has had problems with, so fingers crossed that doesn't cause an issue with this printer. All in all, I'm impressed and very happy with the money I spent on this printer!

Great Value

This was not my first printer. It was my third printer and 2nd Sovol. I previously bought an svo6 and was going to buy a second but saw the sales going on and decided the Svo7 Plus was worth the extra money. The printer was a little difficult to put together, although I was trying to hurry through it. In the end the printer was put together in about 30 ish minutes. After assembly, the printer performs amazingly without much hassle. 2 only have 2 gripes. The filament runout sensor, for me, is a great addition to any printer, but is a struggle to feed filament through. I have not been successful at feeding the filament through first try yet. My second gripe is that the touch screen and settings are finicky sometimes. I set the z offset, but it would then reset back to 5 when trying to fine tune it during a print, although this was resolved by repeating the process 2 or 3 times. Overall, the printer is great and if you can catch it on sale, I would definitely buy a couple of them.

Great Value for money

This printer has been mostly a joy to get started with. Coming from and Ender 3 V3 SE, that has taken a lot of tinkering to get consistent and good prints on, this printer has been a breeze to get going!

I am new to Klipper and have found some things in the UI to be odd and confusing, but once I got to understand it's peculiarities, it's been more than manageable. The printer itself is surprisingly good and easy to both build and use. After running the calibration steps in the correct order, the printer has been printing almost flawlessly.

I watched some youtube videos about setting up and calibrating the printer and noticed that most of the things gerGO found to be annoying or bad, right out the box, had actually been addressed and fixed in the product I received. I can only compliment Sovol for being on the ball with this, and both listening and reacting to criticism in this way.

The only thing I adjusted physically after building the printer, was the belt tension and the adjustment wheels under the build plate, the later using the guide in Klipper.

My biggest point of grief, is the build plate. While it has been functioning well, I am sad that the logo and size markings on the bed actually transfers to the print surface. This is incredibly annoying, when you want to print things where the bottom surface will actually be visible. I have ordered some Creality K1 sized sheets online, since there is no 3rd party or unmarked print surfaces available specifically for the SV07 Plus, but you can print an adapter that will make K1 sheets fit.

All in all, this printer is well worth the money and performs far beyond what I thought was possible for a printer of this size, at $220.

Next time I'm in the marked for a new 3D printer, I will be sure to check back with Sovol!

Phenomenal

You know, I take back what I said last time, this printer still doesn't have a reliable power-loss recovery feature, but this is normal with Klipper printers, other than that, amazing customer support, literally replied as soon as I sent the message about a bent Z screw, and was like "ok, here's a replacement" and there you go, a replacement part on the way without hassle, and I'm confident that it can go back to being a great printer, I've also tested printing at 400mm/s and it has amazing results
