After printing around 650hours and almost 7.5km of filament on the Sovol SV08 it is a fast and pretty reliable 3d printer (for the statlovers there is a history tab on the mainsail page).
i use it for making cosplay props, warhammer terrain, vehicles and mega size Lego minifigs or should i say maxifigs.
However the build plate could be better, last week it gave out on me and prints would not stick anymore whatever i tried...wash it with soap, isopropanol alcohol, multiple tries in automatic and manual bed leveling...no such luck, buildplate worn within a year of use.
After putting on an new non brand pei plate prints finally stuck again, even better than the stock buildplate from the start.
Also the stock buildplate temp. of 65c is way to hot for pla, the underside of the prints buckle so i changed it to 55c wich is a normal temp for printing pla.
Furthermore i changed the stock hotend for a microswiss hotend.
To make large and fast prints this printer is the way to go, for printing smaller detailled parts i use my Sovol SV06+ wich is still going strong after a year of full use.
