Suprisingly Good

I got the printer last week and I must say that it is really good. Only problems I've had after printing non stop for 3 days is, that the bottom fan can be really loud (you can fix it in the software). and that the wording of the manual can be poor and straight up confusing at times. I suggest watching an assembly video for clearer instructions.

Amazing machine

I have had SV02, SV03, SV04, SV06, and SV06+ before this SV08. I was without words when I printed my first part, the speed was something I didn't know even existed. I have had my user errors, but for the past year this printer is rock solid and worth twice what I paid at first release. I haven't even had to run z calibrate for the past 4 months, I might adjust z when I switch to PETG, but that's really the only time. I can't wait to buy another when a good multi color option is available!

Good with some study

Well made. Packaged well. Klipper is powerful but not a first printer. Not quite a voron but a close facsimile. Prints well with a little prep and setup. Pleased with it so far.

Great printer for a decent price

I recently bought this printer and I am happy. In the field of 3d printers you find a lot of critics complaining about this and that. The point is that the wear on the components is higher compared to other tech tools. It is hot, it is fast and there are lots of mass being moved around. Never forget that. And tweaking the system to the own needs is relatively normal.
But so far (fingers crossed) I did not have a lot of problems. At the beginning I used the wrong profile for PLA and that caused some trouble. The only complaint is the deviation in bed levelling. It looks like the measurement is a bit unprecise. So I moved from 2 to 3 samples. Since then it is better.
But that was about it. The printer is very fast. I mean very fast. The prints look very nice and it is a well rounded package.

Almost great core xy printer

After printing around 650hours and almost 7.5km of filament on the Sovol SV08 it is a fast and pretty reliable 3d printer (for the statlovers there is a history tab on the mainsail page).
i use it for making cosplay props, warhammer terrain, vehicles and mega size Lego minifigs or should i say maxifigs.
However the build plate could be better, last week it gave out on me and prints would not stick anymore whatever i tried...wash it with soap, isopropanol alcohol, multiple tries in automatic and manual bed leveling...no such luck, buildplate worn within a year of use.
After putting on an new non brand pei plate prints finally stuck again, even better than the stock buildplate from the start.
Also the stock buildplate temp. of 65c is way to hot for pla, the underside of the prints buckle so i changed it to 55c wich is a normal temp for printing pla.
Furthermore i changed the stock hotend for a microswiss hotend.
To make large and fast prints this printer is the way to go, for printing smaller detailled parts i use my Sovol SV06+ wich is still going strong after a year of full use.
