Had to rebuild my hotend, my silicon casting skill were not up to the task. These socks look so much nicer than my attempts.
A little sock that does the job for insulation but also can easily be slipped on and off for cleaning, nozzle replacements.

l hold them on my printer and begun my trial printed. These have endured several 'jam-ups', whe re the filament has balled up at the extruder end, without burning on to the extruder or nozzle. I wiped off the hot filament with a paper towel and my hot end looked as good as new.
