Sovol SV08 3D Printer

Great for tinkers who have already had first experiences with 3D printing. Had an issue with the rear fan of its case and contacted the support. They sent me a replacement after checking the logs and serial number. Totally forgot to get back to them, so I'll drop a 5* review instead.

I was very surprised on how easy this was to assemble and to get printing . assembly in a few hours and started printing in no time at all . very user friendly , my first time ever with a 3d printer

The assembly process is easier than expected, but I found a weird amount of silicon in the X Y motors connectors.

This is my second 3D printer, coming from the Anycubic Vyper. And I'm blown away by the difference in performance. Assembly is straightforward, the build is solid, and I was very impressed to get great prints at the default 300mm/s slicer preset speeds. Also Klipper makes it possible to configure pretty much anything.

There is one big problem though: the bed and bed leveling sensor. I'm currently assembling a Klicky sensor and will then proceed to add shims under the bed to straighten it out somewhat. I'm sure that everything will be working well in a while.

I've also closed up the printer with Plexiglas panels and added an exhaust fan. And I might switch to mainline Klipper and a MicroSwiss nozzle someday.

If you're willing to put some time and work into it, the SV08 is a great printer for advanced users. This is probably the best deal you'll get for a high-performance CoreXY printer. And if you need any help, Sovol's support team is first-class!
